Strangely enough we've just had this argument in the office. It was snowing - huge fluffy lumps of snow, about four inches across, floating down, while at the same time there were bursts of liquid rain. Some amongst us claimed that sleet was an inbetween state, a spectrum wherein the droplets of rain are frozen or the snow is semi-slush. Here the snow was snow and the rain was rain, but at the same time. We concluded on a vote of eight to three (we're very democratic) that this was not sleet but rain and snow.

Sounds to me like the beginning of the end of the world.

There are after all only seventeen days left let's not forget.

When I say school's, it's my missus's - she's the headmistress. It has some very strange settings: I can get on TW but not on flickr; I can access St Austell's brewery but not CAMRA; I can get on Google Earth but not on Streetview; I can get anything at all on Youtube (including pure filth) but can't get on Facebook. I have no idea how it distinguishes between what it thinks is acceptable and what it thinks is sin.

[I've just explored a bit further - it seems to allow forums, I've just tried the Briskoda forum and it's OK with that too]
