Strange I thought about this conversation whilst talking a group of ahem, quite mature ladies the other day about brewing a cup of coffee. The subject of milk before water cropped up and all three said milk first so as not to scald the coffee

But the milk has a worse affect on the coffee than slightly too hot. Easier to control the temperature of water going in. Country gone to pot I tell thee
