It's about 40 pages back but if you google it you should find it easy enough. There's loads of brilliant (& easy) recipes on the internet. We use ours all the time. Chicken curry on Saturday, sausage & red lentil hot pot yesterday. I think you're the first person I've ever heard who wasn't impressed with it. You soon will be! :D

If you can't find it I'll post it up again. No, there's no meat in it, but I suppose that you could always brown off some mince and lob it in. Love my slow cooker, especially whacking something in it on a Saturday morning so that when I arrive home from the match, pissed off and frozen to the marrow, I've got a hot, tasty meal ready for me :D

anybody down devon way - just had a fabulously unexpected meal (was expecting trad. bar food!) at The Jack in the Green gastro-pub, Whimple... (apparently voted 26th best gastro-pub in the UK or summat)

all washed down with a pint of Otter...

I was not expecting to find that at all! if you are down this way (it's very close to exeter airport) - then seek it out!

I've just had some quinoa. Apparently it's pronounced 'Kin-wah'. You learn something new every day.

Scotland undoubtedly has many dishes to offer, but their humble potato soup has been in a position of excellence for many years for me. First had it at a hotel in Troon many years ago as an evening meal first course. It was terrific. They must have different potatoes or a secret recipe.
