Doesn't sound sad. Sounds great. I've been wanting to do the summer do at Lyme Park (or one of 'em out that way) for a couple of years, but never quite managed to be free on the night...boltonboris wrote:The Hallé do a Halloween gig.. As sad as it sounds, it's absolutely tremendous.

Listening live to a full orchestra do Carmina Burana is a joy.Worthy4England wrote:Doesn't sound sad. Sounds great. Sounds like the sort of thing that should be reported in a Sunday paper...but yes I agree.boltonboris wrote:Listening live to a full orchestra do Carmina Burana is a joy.Worthy4England wrote:Doesn't sound sad. This actually made me check their website to see if they had it on again this year.. No sign of it. Perhaps it was a one off..

The sheer eccentricity of this list made me laugh out loud...
Though I approve wholeheartedly of all three - G&T, Guacamole and orchestral music...
Maybe a new thread.... ?

All those good, good people are posting We Need to Talk About Kevin out to me today. Have had loads of recco's on this, though I haven't a clue what it's about (with the exception of it being about someone called Kevin, presumably).

a comfortable couple of hours, Bruce.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Watch the Ryder Cup on Firtst Row Sports stream. A loss to the Yanks at golf is infinitely preferable to that crap.Annoyed Grunt wrote:To compound todays misery........X Factor

New Dexter and Homeland airing in the States tonight. Can't wait to watch them both tomorrow, although surprisingly, Channel 4 are on the ball with the second season. Only a week behind rather than 6 months so I might wait until next Sunday to watch that.
