Re: Today I'm angry about.....
old woman across the road from me fell and broke her hip today (she is nearly 90), it took the ambulance crew 3 hours to get out to her because there were so many accidents on the roads because of dopey drivers going to fast when it is snowing
.

The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

When I worked in Parliament a few years ago there was a pretty bad few days of snow which meant a lot of people couldn't get in. Fair enough, transport was a mess but people could work from home so that was ok.
A couple of weeks after, our team had a meeting with an HR representative about what to do should such an event occur again.
The way she talked about it was mindblowing. It was all in hushed tones, as if we'd just summoned Imhotep from the fires of hell. She even referred to it as "the great snow". fecking hell

Send the HR lady over here along with all those other southern softies - they'll learn to sneer at a few inches of the white stuff.

Unknown animals in our part of Farnworth. One was apparently spotted in 2000 but it turned out to be a three days late bin waggon.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:^
