On "Five Live",earlier today,Everton Fox said that up to five inches of snow will fall on Thursday, but he said it will be mainly across mid Wales, central and southern England.

I was on holiday in Barbados a few years back, and got talking to two lads from Vancover, who had gone there to get away from the snow.
They told me that as they where taking off,the snow was level with the wings on the plane. They asked me if we got any snow in Bolton, when I said ,"yeah sometimes we get two or three inches," they collapsed laughing and said,"fu*k me man, that ain't snow, thats a bit of frost!!!"
I felt quite inadequate really..............

Fortunately not in the cities where we Canadians live - although possibly the annual total is that. A heavy snowfall is seldom more than two or three feet in 24 hours.enfieldwhite wrote:I was listening to talksport this morning and someone said parts of Canada had had 31 FEET of snow this winterwalkingdownthemannyroad wrote:I was on holiday in Barbados a few years back, and got talking to two lads from Vancover, who had gone there to get away from the snow.

Edit: Having thought further about this I think 31 feet might be somewhat exaggerated, but since I'm not sure of the context I'll reserve judgement.

Going to be chaos here in Londinium tomorrow, scheduled for heavy snow at around 5am onwards. Definitely a day for working from home, methinks.
