John's request sounds entirely reasonable to me !!hn Terry's contract talks with Chelsea have broken down after he demanded a 10-year deal and a guarantee he would always be the club's highest paid player. (Sunday Mirror)
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

cheeky bastard
Terry is saying to the club: "I am the most important player to this club and will continue to be for 10 years"
the club is thinking: "well you are, until we sign a proven 50 goals a season striker
the other players are thinking "no matter what i do i'll not be worth as much to this club as Jt, feck this"
the club is also thinking "what if roman goes, 10 years is a long time for a boy not to get bored of his play set"

Roman wants to make Chelsea self-sufficient by 2010, if JT gets a deal like this then this won't happen unless they win everything, every year.hisroyalgingerness wrote:cheeky bastard

Shearer had a similar deal with them up the road, when they gave Dyer £80,000 a week, Shearer got £80,001. The only difference being Chelsea, atm, can afford to pay anyone what they want. Roman won't be around forever, but as stated he wants Chelsea to be self-sufficient by 2010 so he doesn't have to put as much money into the club. Chelsea, despite their losses, are on their way to what Roman wants to achieve. Perhaps JT needs reminding of this.

£80k a week for a junkie who kept having to have mystery illness & injury just so he wasn't available for selection(& hence testing by outside parties ) ???LeeRoyBrown wrote:Why do they do that? Must be highest paid player???
Also Dyers on £80,000 a week?!!?!?! wtf is this world comin to.
Well, he'd always be abled to afford it, which is some comfort.
