Great game of football and highlighting just how much pace other sides have in comaprison to us. Fast end-to-end stuff and some real quality performances. Diarra, Chelsea's right back (tackling, ball-skills and pace) was immense, as was Dawson for Spurs. Mickel had a terific game and the whole match was played at a hundred miles an hour. Down side was Drogba's persistent attempts to cheat. The guy is a great striker but every time anyone went near him and he couldn't muscle them off he went down like a shot gazzelle. Oh, the agony! Sadly, was all a class apart from us right now.

Can't say I have any great feeling for Lampard one way or the other but what is funny about some halfwit invading the pitch and trying to assault him just because his team lost fair and square ?

It's the Spurs mascot, surely? And no it doesn't make me chuckle. Ban the little scrote for life, fine Spuds and put a rocket up the stewards' arses.

I wouldn't mind but he only looks about 15. Maybe he's the work experience lad and, as a wind up they told him to go and ask Lampard for a left handed screwdriver or something and he didn't see the funny side? :conf:

It is funny, but only because the behaviour of the the Spurs fan is so pathetic. Ok, his size (or lack of) and the expression on his face is a hoot as well.

As I understand it, he'll get an automatic £1000 fine. That's a lot of pocket money.

There is a serious point, however. Kevin Keegan was attacked after an international game and as a direct result, fences were erected at football grounds. We all know what eventually happened as a result of that.

I'm not 100% sure why the Chelsea players thought it necessary to strip semi-naked and cuddle each other :? ?

From memory, I think it was a game against Italy at Wembley. There had been some worries about the safety of players for a while. The England team left the pitch at the end of the game, apart from Keegan who'd been pole axed by a 'fan'.

The decision to put fences up was taken shortly after.
