Blimey. That Top Storey event sounded horrific. Seem to recall reading about it once before, but for such a large scale tragedy I'm surprised that I don't think I've ever heard anyone refer to it before now.

Never heard of that. Though I'd have been a nipper when it happened it must have slipped from local view and discussion quicker than it deserved.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: The Official You Tube/weird world thread.
It was terrible, believe me. I was seeing a girl from Prestolee at the time and the Top Storey wasn't a regular hang-out for me. Several of the ones that died were in the same Mecca dance team as me. It was all over the papers at the time and my brother's in law was one of the coppers involved in dealing with the dead and injured. Made him quite ill as would be expected. I won't give details but they were horrendous. I'm pretty sure Zulu lived very near the owner, Bill Bohanan and his wife, Sheila.

At last - a reason to go to the Trafford Centre. To watch Pikeys knocking the living feck out of each other.

Can I say that calling Romanies "Pikeys" is the equivalent to calling black people "niggers". JSL.

Blimey, Mark Regev and his ilk missed that one. Another bout of re-education required for the BBC I'd have thought.Harry Genshaw wrote:Israel expanding their embassy

Re: The Official You Tube/weird world thread.
There was some discussion on here some time ago about Frank Sidebottom. If anything belongs in the weird world forum, this does:
