Sports you hate

Post by bobby5 » Sun Jul 01, 2007 10:30 pm

Every sports fan hates at least one sport. Which sport have you never been able to get in to?

For me it's tennis and rugby union.

I hate football quite a lot of the time.

Other than that I can't be doing with any form of rugby, and I'm yet to get excited by snooker, golf, athletics or tennis.

Tennis - what's the point? I love both codes of rugby though, and played Union for years.

Hmm, dunno. I went to a baseball game in Atlanta a few years ago and I've got to say the fielding and throwing is pretty impressive. Never understood that big girly glove they wear in the field though. I don't know what they would make of a "corky" being wazzed at them at 90mph! :D

It's not sports I hate but more so the people who play them. Most of the rowers/rugby players I know are complete turds

Rugby bores the living shit out of me. I don't know how people can get enjoyment from watching men with cabbage ears throwing a giant peanut to one another.
Rugby fans all think they are better than everyone else, they think they are the chosen ones for liking rugby instead of football. In reality they are public school boys called Ben, Matthew and Peter who think they are something else just because they can drink a pint through their sock.

Good call basketball, what a complete shower. The thing with basketball is that for the people who play it, its just so easy, they are like 7ft tall and to score points is no effort or skill they can just reach up and put it in, just like we can throw some paper into a bin next to where we sit.

Netball is basketball for wimps, only one player can score points? Only one player allowed in the box? No contact sport. I would like to meet the person who invented that crock of shit and give them a piece of my mind.

How about curling, what the flipping heck is all that about? Do those wazzocks with the brushes know how stupid they look doing their impersonation of a roadsweeper? Is there any need for this game to be played on ice, can't they just play bowls?

Show Jumping vexes me, pompous tossers with horses called Thomas jumping over some bars does not excite me.

Motor sports. I work at Silverstone every now and then, and get to watch it for free (but choose not to) cars driving round in circles YIPPEE!

They charge a bloody fortune for the privelige as well!

Basketball. Run, pass, put ball in net, other team runs passes and puts ball in net. Repeat a hundred times!

Aye I'll give you that. I watched the highlights on Sky Sports news, one fella smashed into the barrier and another cheekly nicked in for the win on the final bend.
