Smoking ban

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

I saw Our Fold play at The Soundhouse, in December. They're nothing more than a piss-poor Foo Fighters sound-alike band. Still, if that's what floats your boat!

You'll notice that pubs now no longer smell of cigarettes. Just their horrible, foetid toilets instead. Result...

I wasn't planning on posting anything else, but I know a couple of members of the band so I go watching a fair bit, and they're by far the best band in Bolton. They also sound nothing remotely like Foo Fighters.

Great! Now that ol' Gord won't be shipping too many shekels from us smokers, he'll have to take a couple of bob off everyone in income tax, plus a council tax rise to police the pubs, clubs, bus stops et al.

Proper messed my sunday up n'all. Completely forgot about it, went to the pub about 12 after no sleep hoping for a quiet chilled out 6 or 7. No bloody ash trays. Bollox.
Having to get up all the time and go outside with the shakes. Not fun.

I'm trying to quit now (three days and counting), so maybe the ban will be a good thing.

I just hate being told what to do. It's the pubs I feel sorry for; I guess a lot of them will close.

What annoys me is most of the people who are championing this are not the sort of people who regularly go in boozers. It's not as if their all going to start going to pubs because of the ban.

But, like I said. If it helps me stop, and potentially adds years to my life, then the ban will be a positive thing.

Rain! Has it been raining? Can't say I've noticed since I took up 'meth'. 8)
