Happy Independence Day!

Post by americantrotter » Tue Jul 03, 2007 9:32 pm

So I'll be away from the site on July 4th. (Don't all cheer at once)

It's the celebration of one of my nationalities warring with the other. It's a good holiday if not a little OTT.

However in light of the recent America bashing I will gladly post that it's the Holiday where we kicked your ass. :fingers: :arse:

So i'll hoist a few american brews (real beers, not bud) and think of you guys tomorrow.

You'd be wrong then, AT. It's the anniversary of the passing of the Declaration of Independence and took place before the war and any ass kicking.
Except of course when Benedict Arnold led the invasion of Canada and we kicked his ass (so hard he changed sides).
Happy 4th of July anyway.

Going to a 4th July party at work hosted by American Airlines.

We all have to dress in something red white or blue so I'm going in my Wanderers kit with my cock out, should be a cold night.

Have fun, Batty, you could get lucky with the stews (at least until they see the shriveled blue thing that's hanging out).

Thanks Monty, I am more than aware of the historical basis for the holiday. :D 7/4 (Or 4/7) Is our holiday for the revolution, so it's the ass kicking holiday.

Batman, I like your style, I would probably do the same.

Nah not yet

Got my voucher that came with the credit card, just waiting for them to announce the squad numbers for next year, after all, it may be unlikely they fook around with DAVIES 14 but no harm in waiting to be totally sure

Haven't you always stated that you are simply a Brit living in America, and did so with vigor if I recall?

A holiday to celebrate a film? I know Will Smith is good but...!

Happy holiday.

Happy birthday USA.

BTW the White House needed a lick of paint after our lads had finished with it in 1812. :lmfao:

Good morning. In less than an hour, aircraft from here will join others from around the world. And you will be launching the largest aerial battle in the history of mankind.Mankind — that word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can’t be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests.Perhaps its fate that today is the 4th of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom, not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution — but from annihilation. We’re fighting for our right to live, to exist. And should we win the day, the 4th of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day when the world declared in one voice: “We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We’re going to live on! We’re going to survive!” Today, we celebrate our Independence Day
Done it make ya proud! :D

I once stayed in a DAYS Inn in LA and saw Ron Jeremy and a host of girls going into one of the rooms along with a camera crew.

I hate Ron Jeremy...... the lucky bastard.

Apparently he got his career advice from his dad after asking him, 'Dad, is it usual to be able to suck your own dick?'
