Me and wor hinny are off to Scunthorpe for Sunluns pre-season match, but train sites are showing we have to change in Doncarster.
Reet, I'm alreet with that, but is there anywhere nice to have a few light ales between connections?
Thanks mates.

If you want real ale, there's the Leopard, just by the station (West Street, I believe) - I went in there prior to the Wanderers FA Cup match, and can highly recommend it. It even has Hawkwind on the jukebox - what more could you want?!Nozza wrote:Me and wor hinny are off to Scunthorpe for Sunluns pre-season match, but train sites are showing we have to change in Doncarster.

If you don't want real ale, of course, I can only frown, and shake my head in disapproval...

The last time that I went to Donny for the footie was in 1985. We were winning 1-0 until the last minute when Jimmy Phillips scuffed an own goal past Simon Farnworth. We'd spent all afternoon taking the piss out of their 'keeper, which was either Peacock or Salmon, one of our ex-keepers, I can't remember which one, but it was one of 'em, and then old Jimmy Pip feck* up in the last minute. We didn't bother with any boozers as there was about 16 of us squeezed in a Tranny Van from Jackson's Van Hire down by Darcy Lever. feck. I'm starting to sound like mi dad! ![Shocked ](./images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)
