The Greatest EVER..........Blackpool Pleasure Beach ride.

Post by Soldier_Of_The_White_Army » Wed Aug 22, 2007 6:00 pm

That you have been on. I'm off the Blackpool at the end of next month and got to thinking.

I've crapped my pants on the Pepsi max, and got pxssed wet through on Valhalla, Both rides have a good claim, but for a pure adrenalin rush and two weeks worth of wiplash, I've got to go with...

The Grand National.

I don't know if it's the speed it picks up, the race against your pxssed up mates on the other track, or the the pre ride thought that today might finally be the day the knackered ancient coaster finally came off the tracks. Yet whenever I go the Pleasure Beach, I always head for the National first.

Oh yes, the Grand National (if that's the one with the hobby horses), very scintillating; like when your wife panics and decides she wants off when your flying over sixty feet of nothingess and you're trying to be a combination of Roy Rogers and a psychiatrist. Very amusing.(Mind you, few of them are any worse than the wicked "Bobs" at the old Belle View)

Never done BPB, but took the kids to Alton Towers last year when England were playing - good move, no queues!

Anyway, I am terrible with heights, so I've got to say, even though it only last about 30 seconds, Oblivion is just heart attack city.

rita queen of speed also top drawer, when i go again though i'll get one of them priority passes, queues were huge even on a schoolday

as for the pleasure beach i always make a point to go on the national, the big one does live up to the hype though, probably the best ride i've been on

No, TANGO, the only attractions at Blackpool when I were a lad were the illuminations (which I absolutely adored) and Reginald Dixon playing with his organ in The Tower.

I never did get to 'go up' The Tower, so that's half the attraction gone. I do have a couple of his recordings made there though so I guess that makes up for my exclusion a wee bit.

tis the Mad Mouse and it is by far the scariest ride in the world. Not cos it's big or fast but because it's just plain dangerous and as a bloke it's a ball crusher if you're with a lady in the carriage. No matter how how wee she may beyour nuts are going to get a pounding the like of whch you'd pay £200 for in soho.
