Wekl, last night on BBC4 I watched Brian Eno yodeling.
That's it really.
That's it really.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Made the mistake of watching a Tom Cruise film last night, Oblivion, totally predictable crap, no idea why I stayed with it till the end, only positive I can say about it is that is not as bad as his War of the Worlds

Re: What are you watching tonight?
I watched that and it was somewhat lacking. The visual aspect was good and I've seen worse, but not to be recommended. Got hold of Moon, for some apparently superior sci-fi.Raven wrote:Made the mistake of watching a Tom Cruise film last night, Oblivion, totally predictable crap, no idea why I stayed with it till the end, only positive I can say about it is that is not as bad as his War of the Worlds

I thought it was a lot better than OK. Good, tense thriller. Excellent story telling.Annoyed Grunt wrote:It was OK...nothing amazing though...agree about Maria Bello though.wigan white wrote:Finally got round to watching David Cronenbergs "A History of Violence", what a cracking film. Re: What are you watching tonight?
Just watched the first ever 3-2-1 episode from 1978 on Challenge. Clive Dunn as guest, absolutely bizarre. Vaguely remember it being popular but why?

Re: What are you watching tonight?
Saw Inside Llewyn Davies yesterday.
I really liked it. A fine story of a loser with talent, whose every touch turns the object of desire into dust... love involves betrayal and abortion... his musical career is that of a man never quite good enough, with an agent cheating him of his royalties, money evades him at all times.
The soundtrack is great. the camerawork confidently bleak, the lighting often dark, always austere.
There is an abundance of cameo roles, of which my favourite was John Goodman's ancient musician, whose dialogue spurts out in great torrents of bile, a kind of aggressive demotic poetry.
And the film is so witty throughout, I laughed out loud often.
The conclusion would be shattering if we could only empathise with Davies, but I couldn't, or not enough...
I will watch again in six months.
