What are you watching tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

In a so bad, it's almost good way. It amused, rather than entertained. But I've still had worse Saturday nights.

'People Who Love Objects' on TLC

Objectum sexuality, people who turn to objects for love and companionship. A woman has just explained how she was in a relationship with the Eiffel Tower which didn't work out and she has now purchased a section of the Berlin Wall and found true happiness.

I shit you not.

So, four of us went to see 12 Years a Slave. We walked out very slowly, like we were reeling. My sister in law said 'I feel like I feel after a funeral'... I said 'I'm just reeling'... All of us needed ten or more minutes of silence with the occasional phrase or shake of the head, before we could get going.

This film clenches and twists and twists... so savage, so cruel, so pitiless. But in the end a little warm breath of humanity, a kind of tearful triumph, an embrace, a name... An affirmation, of sorts...

The idea that any other film could win any award at this moment strikes me as absurd... And, in particular, having seen it yesterday, and liked it enormously, the idea that The Wolf of Wall Street is anything other than a poor cousin in the same trade seems ridiculous.

If ever a film needed to be made, this is it. If ever any demands to be seen, here it is...

nice summary. as someone on the film show podcast said 'the best film i never want to see again'

apparently he was kidnapped again much later in life, some suggest by associates of his original captors? but he did just disappear again one day...

Me neither, got sweaty palms from just the trailer....a little part of me wants them to fall......

Thought it was great, albeit gave butterflies just watching. Amazed how they are able mentally to put all the what ifs and risk to one side.... and for nothing other than the buzz.

Going to watch the pilot of True Detective tonight. Has Mathew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson in it and is meant to be the next big tv show in America, and it looks great.

I saw that, the cycle-plane thing? He's very entertaining and likeable. I wonder if he'll keep trying to win the TT or if his focus has shifted.

Watched "Trollhunter" that I'd recorded from Film4 on christmas day, what a cracking film. Would definitely recommend it. Not too "over the top" (well atleast if you forget about the trolls bit)!!!

On a side note, dont bother watching "Sightseers", its crap!!!!!!

Thought the idea of "Sightseers" was really good, just don't think it was done especially well. Just got a bit ridiculous (I know that may seem daft having seen my comments about "TrollHunter") but the first half is good, its just the second part of it just let it down badly in my eyes. Saying that, I didn't realise it was a Ben Wheatley film until I'd finished it , and I hated "A field in England".

+1

though troll hunters was good - obviously going for the blair witch style. we'd recorded and watched it last week. then found it in a charity shop for £1.25 - bargain

always think films like sightseers are more unsettling because the violence etc is unexepected (the 1st one) but carried out in such an everyday and normal way that it feels realistic, if you know what I mean. thought she'd throw him the dummy off the bridge tho'
