Re: What are you watching tonight?
Just watched the first of the three episodes of the 20th anniversary of The League of Gentlemen. Brutal, hilarious, brilliant. SPOILER ALERT: Gutted by them having killed off Harvey Denton, but I see that the twins have come on.

Amazing to realise that it's been off the air for so long. Still funny, bizarre and disturbing. The hedgehog in the vets

Just watched last night's episode. One of their darkest to date, but utterly brilliant.

Peakies tonight. Without revealing too much, last week's performance from Tom Hardy as Alfie Solomons was the stuff of legend.... Adressing a Mafia godfather type...

Gahhh, last in the series tonight. That's bad news but it'll be back.

As much as I enjoyed the three new episodes I really think that they need to leave it there now.Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2017 3:19 pmAmazing to realise that it's been off the air for so long. Still funny, bizarre and disturbing. The hedgehog in the vets
Really looking forward to the new series of Inside No. 9 in Jan though.

I'm really going to have to give no.9 another go though. I only saw one and wasn't impressed so haven't bothered with any more

Really? They're all very 'Roald Dhal' but with serious added darkness.Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2017 4:51 pmI'm really going to have to give no.9 another go though. I only saw one and wasn't impressed so haven't bothered with any more
Love 'em

Huge fan of No 9 also, though the episodes are so unique that there's bound to be some you like more than others. I'd definItaly give it another go!
On a sad note it's a shame there'll be no more detectorists. I was late to it, only discovering it on a flight to South Africa last year but it soon became one of my favourites. The last episode was just perfect.

Likewise. One of those for which I feel the need to go back to the beginning.

It's absolutely glorious, lovely TV. A summer's day in televisual form, and Johnny Flynn's soundtrack is the perfect accompaniment.

Took until 23rd December but today saw what is easily the best film I've seen this year - The disaster artist.
Anyone who knows of the film The Room will love it. We didn't and went in with no expectations. Absolutely brilliant -funniest thing I've seen in years

The Winter Olympics opening ceremony. I can't figure out whether the stadium's mainly empty or mainly full?
Oh, and that with the drones is one of the most incredible things I've seen.

Watched The Mercy last night with Colin Firth. The subject made for a fascinating documentary a few years ago but as a film. Distinctly average

Watched 'Denial' last night. The film about David Ingram's libel case. Very good film. Timothy Spall is excellent.
