Re: What are you watching tonight?
LF have just sent me a mail to inform me that they're sending me Brassed Off. Yes, yes, I know that I'm possibly the only man on Earth not to have seen it, but anyway, the Octagon are putting it on next season so I'd like to be able to compare it.

It gets good reviews. Surprisingly good reviews for a British sit-com turned into a film.Bruce Rioja wrote:I await your report, Sir.General Mannerheim wrote:ALPHA PAPA

I hope it's good too, but I'm very sceptical. I saw something at Christmas, Alan Partridges Guide to Norwich or some such, and I can't really put into words how dreadful it was.BWFC_Insane wrote:It gets good reviews. Last night we watched Biutiful. Set in Barcelona, Spanish, subtitled, starring Javier Bardem as gangster in the mierda in many ways, not least of which is a terminal cancer disgnosis. And who will look after his kids when he dies?
This is a very powerful film. Truly excellent.

Second time round I was in the mood and enjoyed it. First time I dozed off.

Nah, I really enjoyed it, but it takes effort. Second time around was a bleak week-day after work and I really fancied it.
