Agree Gary' Watched it through. Years ago I read two books: "The Phantom Major" ( I think it was a Readers Digest book?) in which David Stirling turned the L.R.D.G--Long Range Desert Group, into the S.A.S. ...and "The Feather Men" by Ranulph Fiennes, much later a controversial but good film starring Jason Statham, Clive Owen and Robert de Niro and supposedly based on truth. The S.A.S. dissed it claiming this was complete fiction. Not for the faint-hearted, any of it. War is a beast that turns men into animals. No doubting though, The S.A.S. played a vital part in the war in North Africa.

Have the very final episode of Ozark to watch tonight (unless they decide to make a 5th series).

B.B.C I Player are showing the full series of "Spooks" again and there's a film made around the start of it. I liked Spooks a lot and have started watching a few episodes already.

We're four episodes into the brilliant Daisy May Cooper's 'Am I Being Unreasonable?'

It's a really difficult one to describe other than for it being a twisted comedy thriller, containing some brilliant lines and a quite incredible performance by 13-year-old Lenny Rush playing the son.

It takes until Episode three to all start coming together, so if you do start to watch it and are wondering WTF?, I'd advise sticking with it.

Watched "Litvinenko" on ITV Hub last night. Fascinating fact-based programme done as a film on the poisoning of an ex Russian living in U.K. A complex story that even involved Parliament and our then P.M. Theresa May. Well made and recommended.

B.B.C I Player are currently running one of my favourite films "Guernsey, the literature and potato peel pie society.". A feel good movie but with a decent story running through it. Based on the German occupation of the Channel Islands in World War Two it's well worth a watch. Delighted to watch it again and well recommended.

In an idle moment watched a film "John Wick" pretty standard Jason Statham type action stuff. Far fetched but wasn't bad. Then.....Parts, 2,3 and 4 appeared. I watched 2, which was so bad that I won't be watching the rest. They just can't leave well enough alone. Be warned and avoid...

Tom Jones in Greenwich. Not my choice and I expected his voice to have gone.

But, Delilah aside (*shivers*), oh my. Voice still there, plenty bangers, 100% vibe. What a man. Didn't play Stoned In Love though, so only 9/10. But really really superb.

Tom Jones has always been a singer's singer. From Male voice choir stuff through soul, gospel and rock he's a class act. His early stuff, "Field of yellow daisies, My elusive dreams, Two Brothers" etc, were amongst my L.P. collection. Glad he still has it.

Yeah it was a proper walk through from early sixties to now. Some I knew, some I didn't, but the man knows a crowd, and his voice is very much still there. Had a half-stool think he could prop himself on, but just an insane zest for life. Plenty of stories about the old days too. Top.

We've been bingeing on Black Mirror on Netflix. Supposedly like a modern remake of 'Tales of the Unexpected', though that was a bit before my time.

^^ A mate of mine keeps nagging me to watch it. Is it a rehash of Charlie Brookers stuff (some of which started maybe 10 years back?). If so, tried early stuff, struggled to get into it...

Just finished watching the full series of LOVE/HATE on ITV player. Set in Dublin's underworld/gangland it's without a doubt the most vicious mindless savagery ever. There are five series of four episodes each and it becomes compulsive watching to keep track of it. Life expectancy is tomorrow at best and a wrong look can get you shot in the head. Aidan Gillan stars .
