Speaking as someone who works in the trade, I can tell you this can cost businesses an absolute fortune. Worked in a very trendy new opening in London a few years back who invested in some very cool looking tear-drop shaped shot glasses at about £10 a pop (shot glasses - small remember). 466 went missing in the first 10 days, and they gave up on it as a bad job.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

You can buy glasses down at Sainsbury's for next to nowt for everyday use. However, and though it's not right, if you bring out fancy glasses then you're pretty much asking for them to get nicked.
Me and my mates always used to have a little game about who could get their glass home in one piece from the Bolton Beer Festival. I managed it once and then promptly smashed on the taps, first wash!

May the bridges I burn light your way

Managed to get a pint on the burnden terrace - twice.
The stealing from the King Bill bit makes me a hypocrite, but I'd like to think the extra pint helped me sing louder, thus giving the team more backing, who because of my support did better, so more people went to games, and in turn went to the King Bill for a pre-match pint, thus upping their profits, and vocal support for the lads. And you thought it was all Rioch?

ive got loads too, most recent additions being them new stella glasses! i am only interested if it is a fancy unusual one, so most of mine have come from abroad, in fact i cannot remember the last time i did not bring a pot home from a foreign adventure!
fair game
anyway, i was under the impression the glasses were provided by the manufactuerers rather than the pub itself? that why you get stella, carling etc in their own branded glasses? still theft granted, but ill be fcuked before i give a shit.

the glass is included in the price of the pint, so technically when i buy the pint i'm buying the glass too, so it's mine.General Mannerheim wrote:ive got loads too, most recent additions being them new stella glasses! i am only interested if it is a fancy unusual one, so most of mine have come from abroad, in fact i cannot remember the last time i did not bring a pot home from a foreign adventure!

Have to pay for 'em these days, once the breweries cottoned on to the idea Pubs had to buy glasses to serve beer in.General Mannerheim wrote:ive got loads too, most recent additions being them new stella glasses! i am only interested if it is a fancy unusual one, so most of mine have come from abroad, in fact i cannot remember the last time i did not bring a pot home from a foreign adventure!
