Jeremy Corbyn MP, leader of the Labour party, has broken his silence over the US missile strikes in Syria. He says:
The US missile attack on a Syrian government airbase risks escalating the war in Syria still further.
Tuesday’s horrific chemical attack was a war crime which requires urgent independent UN investigation and those responsible must be held to account.
But unilateral military action without legal authorisation or independent verification risks intensifying a multi-sided conflict that has already killed hundreds of thousands of people.
What is needed instead is to urgently reconvene the Geneva peace talks and unrelenting international pressure for a negotiated settlement of the conflict.
The terrible suffering of the Syrian people must be brought to an end as soon as possible and every intervention must be judged on what contribution it makes to that outcome.
The British government should urge restraint on the Trump administration and throw its weight behind peace negotiations and a comprehensive political settlement.
And that approach has got exactly where dickhead?

Labour really scraped the barrel to find this goon.

Why on earth should we just sit back and watch a second rate European nation keep sailing its gunboats into someone else's territorial waters, make political play of a sovereign part of the UK because it suits them to stir up more mischief?
The time is coming to stop being apologists and actually stand up to certain 'other countries' and if that involves sinking a violating gunboat, then tough!
Detrimental to our position? I thought even you had a grasp of the 'macho Spanish' mentality when allowed room to manoeuvre.
I am bothered 'loads' of people don't agree with me? Get real, you and your fellow EU apologists were laughing and telling everyone for a long time before the referendum that leave was a small bunch of swivel eyed loonies who would be a laughing stock after getting their ass spanked in the poll, got that one right didn't you? Now you cry, snivel and blame everything else for losing instead of excepting, you got it wrong, badly wrong.
Jar? Jam.
Lets address the issue in hand, rather than invent another scenario.

I said, the language used was detrimental to our position. Mainly because Spain, houses a large number of British citizens either on a permanent or temporary basis. We can be tough on our positions without the nonsense Howard and the right wing media came out with. It was, and is, an embarrassment, to anyone with half a brain.

Now, as for Gibraltar, it was bound to be brought up by Spain. Inevitable. We can make very clear that it's sovereignty is not up for negotiation. Which is what we are doing. Without the jingoistic and dangerous bullshit. It seems like all you're interested in is shooting and killing foreigners. Which is a bit sad. But you know, so long as it is just wishful thinking everyone is free to have whatever belief set they like. Though expect to be challenged on it, and expect to struggle to answer said challenge in any sort of a convincing way.

In terms of the Brexit vote, don't for one minute think it means you aren't a swivel eyed loony  . People like coldplay and voted for the Nazis, you can't trust people!

Imagine being a second rate European nation?!
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

Do you think we should declare war on China to get Hong Kong back too, Hobes?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Please don't, it's 80% likely I'll be moving there within 2 years and I'd quite like to have a quiet life.

Sean Spicer went on CNN to apologize for his idiotic remarks about Assad compared to Hitler. He said he hoped his remarks would not detract from Trump's attempt to "destabilize the region". The mind boggles, the crin is blithered.

On the Hitler remarks you could see the panic in his face as the journos questioned him about it. Instead of immediately apologising and scrapping the remark he just dug deeper!

Forget the spiced one, this is the geezer who should worry us, if he misbehaves this weekend Trump may well explode.

So actually it is Trump who is the problem.

Trump and his mentalist friends.

I did find this remarkable. Or perhaps unbelievable. It is like a political satire.

"Hitler never used chemical weapons"

What about the millions of Jews, gypsies and Eastern Europeans he gassed to death?

"Well he never used them on his own people"

Nope, it is the fat lad and his nukes he keeps telling the Yanks he will chuck at them as soon as workable and the feeble minded Chinese who could put a stop to all of this at fault.

Put it this way
You kept threatening to smash my house up and I thought you were getting more likely to do so, I'd break your legs first!

What would you do about tubby other than waste more time talking like the prick Corbyn and the looney left, how many years has that been going on?

The CIA and other 'security' departments are useless, they couldn't get Castro, nor Saddam or fatboys family, you wonder what they get paid for :conf:

Of course, none of the above would matter if Hilary had been elected, we would already be at war with Russia.

I'm no fan of Hilary, but I'd say the person chucking bombs around is more likely to start a war than say a person you think might chuck bombs around

Wrong Hilary's policy was to hit Assad hard and impose a no fly zone over Syria, just how with Russian planes and anti aircraft missiles all over she never quite explained, was she going to neutralise them?

I think Trump was pushed into the cruise missile attack by the 'must do something' bleeding hearts club as illustrated by that most illiberal leader of the whinge fest,
http://www.thewestmorlandgazette.co.uk/ ... overnment/
A spokesperson for No 10 described the airstrikes as an ‘appropriate response’, but Mr Farron called for further action.
The Westmorland and Lonsdale MP said: “The attack by American forces was a proportionate response to the barbarous attack by the Syrian government on its own people.
“The British government rather than just putting out a bland statement welcoming this should now follow it up and call an emergency meeting of the Nato alliance to see what else can be done, be that more surgical strikes or no-fly zones.

I like many are still not convinced about the particular attack he was responding to, had it been Sarin the first responders who attended with no protection would have been infected, death would have been more widespread and a lot more factual evidence other than tests run by a so called British Doctor who had been struck off and actually had little claim to be a medical man never mind a specialist.

I would welcome a full and unbiased investigation into all this because something just doesn't seem right.

So, you're pissed at someone that said they'd do something and not the person that did something that the other person said they'd do. It's a bit like you having a problem with Corbyn for believing in/talking about social justice but not with May for lying about social justice. Again, I'm a fan of neither, but logic dictates I should be more pissed with the latter than the former.

You are talking the difference between a war of words and an actual war, which would you prefer?

My own preference would be to keep the hell out of the place and let them get on with it, when they are done they are done and both sides are feeling the fatigue of the years now.
