Wash your mouth out Ratty, I hate that mans name, and the b*llox he spouts to justify his partiality. He's a public service broadcaster, even Sky achieve more balance than he's capable of.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Completely lost on David Pleat though, who, whilst commentating on one of their games during this year's Euro's kept on calling them Czechoslovakia. Cleary, the instruction for him to desist had been handed down from the gantry, from at which point he then referred to them as "The Republic of Czechoslovakia".
At least he doesnt pretend to be an intellectual. The erasmus coordinator at UCL last year, you know, someone you would expect to know something about the world given he was in charge of welcoming foreign students, extended a warm welcome to the students from Czechoslovakia.

The Czechs I know aren't arsed, much in the same way that the Dutch aren't bothered when their country is referred to as Holland, when there will be English bores queuing up to tell you it's really 'The Netherlands'.

Yiss, that was my joke. Although I was originally going to call them Upper Voltans, but then it'd just have got messy.

The Czech girl who told me about it thought it was hillarious, i just found it embarrasing somebody not only representing my university, but specifically as an erasmus coordinator got something so basic wrong, is hardly as if its recent news is it? What next, is Kennedy dead?

If you mean me, I know Millsie personally and knew he wouldn't take offence, hence the smiley. He's new to the site and has already said he's keyboard unfamiliar. How about we all give him a break for a bit?
