Monopoly... the Movie!!

http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/ ... dley-scott

A daft idea and all the dafter for the man who made Alien and Blade Runner being involved. Russell Crowe to play the little Scottie dog?

Gets you thinking as to what other board games you could make films of, mind... Kerplunk, starring Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts??

They made "Clue" years ago based on Cluedo. Quite a good film iirc, starring Tim Curry.

Risk would make a great film.

Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

God yeah. Not sure that monopoly would be such a bad idea, like Crazy Horse says, Clue wasn;t that bad.

that doesn't say crowe will be in it or in fact that it'll be live action. If it's animated then you could do any board game almost. Personally I can't wait for Hungry Hippos I Vant to Bite Your Finger and Crossfire.

Twas' me jesting. Thinking about it though, you could actually do it live action, with various property investors competing to outdo each other by fair and foul means.

Wouldn't be as good as Ludo mind.

Didn't they make Buckaroo with Roy Kinnear?

Oh dear. That wasn't nice.

Does Jumanji count?

Apparently, Universal Pictures has announced a six-year partnership with Hasbro to produce at least four feature films based on branded properties. The properties include “Monopoly,” “Candy Land,” “Clue,” “Ouija,” “Battleship,” “Magic, The Gathering” and “Stretch Armstrong.”

I for one am looking forward to the film adaptations of Connect 4 and Yahtzee!
