I Just don't get....
As I get older there seems to be more and more things that I simply don't "get". Not things I don't like per se but things that I simply can't understand why they are popular.
So thought I'd start a thread to see what everyone elses "things" were.
Here is a list of mine....
Duffy (Just don't get the appeal)
The One Show (Like Adrian Childs but don't "get" this show)
RnB
Programs like cash in the attic
Radio 5 (apart from when footy is on)
Jamie Oliver
Probably a lot more that I'll think of soon!

Life, and why it's obsessed with sex. Everybody treats sex like they just invented it. In reality, timewise, few people spend more than about four hours a week taking part in it, and the rest of the time talking about it.
Traditions and history: Why people are always wanting to make a mark by changing things of historical and traditional value.
"Lancashire" is a prime example.
Art: If Tracy Emin and co are artists, I'm Leonardo Da Vinci.
That'll do for now.

Oh this is really spooky as I was only saying yesterday that I don't get my new car, it's forever tellling me off.
It's an American make and it is really quite bossy. It won't start unless you have your foot pressed down on the clutch, to take the key out of the ignition you have to press and hold down a button at the same time and the very strange bit.... The radio and headlights don't turn off until you open the driver door.
So I don't get how does it know that I've opened the door so it will turn the radio off????? Very strange.

That'd be annoying having to drive round with the radio permanently on!Gertie wrote:Oh this is really spooky as I was only saying yesterday that I don't get my new car, it's forever tellling me off.

Our American friends are best at that, changing names of things etc just so it looks like they are being original!
With you on Tracy Emin

I don't get why he's wearing gloves in a bedroom. Maybe I don't really want to know.General Mannerheim wrote:i like Jamie Oliver when he's not doing his jesus bit - naked chef, Jamie at home & Olivers twist are great shows!

Depends what region you live in. Freeview may be best if you want to get that.Little Green Man wrote:Channel Five

Big Brother is the main thing I just 'don't get'. Apart from that, every programme on UK Style and how the news has stopped reporting news and has started telling us about things like Jade Goody.
