If you could suspend democracy for one day....
...what would you do to that banker with the pension plan courtesy of The Magic Faraway Tree ?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I'm afraid I had to vote let him keep it.
If that's what it said in his Contract, then ths issue isn't with the banker, it's with the people who agreed his contract. A Contract is a Contract and should be legally binding.
I would like, though, the opportunity to discuss my next Contract with the same negotiating team.

wonder how much arthur scargill's pension is worth ?Lord Kangana wrote:...what would you do to that banker with the pension plan courtesy of The Magic Faraway Tree ?
bet that one was matched by the g'ment / taxpayer
:/
..plus if boiling folk is a free pass, surely you'd start with sutcliffe types first ?
would probably 'save' the taxpayer more money too in the long run doing that.

Don't mistake me WTW, I'm only giving him his pension, because Contractually it's obliged. I would certainly looking at all other areas to see if he was in breach of his contract - I suspect if that was the case, there would already be prosecutions in the process of being lined up. Through the crash, we're hearing some people having to own up to being "bent" generally, many of the banks have taken a legal gamble which has gone belly up - but nevertheless was within the law.William the White wrote:None of the above...
give him the rest of his days on a state pension... let him 'adjust'...
Punishment to fit the crime... This bunch have destroyed thousands of lives, and thousands more to come... let them live like them...
I know - just call me a bleeding heart liberal...
So I'm all for punishments fitting crimes, but a pre-requisite is that a crime has indeed been committed...
None of this sensible 'contract' shiiite. This is a democracy-less day. Kill the bastard, and every other fecker earning ludicrous amounts of money for ballsing it all up. Option 3, you know it makes sense.

just tell him his pension has 'gone' .
"we invested it in a load of bank shares and the returns werent great. the £8m you paid in got 'lost' and now means youre weekly pension is £7.50p "
happens to some..

Hey-up, Prescott's spoke.
I've just read that apparently the most laughable politician ever (TM) reckons that Sir Fred shouldn't receive the pension to which he holds legal entitlement and should persue his claim through the courts at further expense to the tax-payer instead.
Has the fat prick ever once managed to pass comment on anything without making a complete and utter cock-end of himself?
