Might have.

If Dan was aged in oak for 24 months and 12 in a bottle, and is both smooth and complex, and is 14% alcohol.

Otherwise... doubtful.

Nut roast, onion gravy, roast potatoes and parsnips, purple sprouting broccoli from the garden, green beans from last year's garden... Yum... Last of yesterday's rioja reserva...

Roquefort... Sainsbury's 'house dessert wine'...

This rather awesome pie that i just made with green beans (not from William's well-stocked garden but from the freezer!) and new potatoes, gravy and a mug of tea...

Pie looks yum... And my green beans were from the freezer also... they just originated in our garden, last year. How did you make your gravy?

I took two heaped teaspoons of Bisto gravy granules from the tub and skillfully blended them with a quarter of a pint of freshly boiled Devon tap water!

I made myself a roast chicken and trimmings (carrots parsnips roasties and peas) yesterday, including making proper gravy myself for the first time. OMFG it was incredible.

Just had a splendid lunch of salmon and spinach with pasta in a cream and watercress sauce and a side of mixed olives. Now to sleep it off on the journey home

Tomato and basil sauce, made with local San Marzano tomatoes and a very large knob of butter. Add some pasta and it is a perfect dish :)

It was sunshine and, at about 5.00, friends round in the garden. and pink Cava and Prosecco.

And... well... a cheese plate, manchego, stilton, dolcelatte... nuts, pistachio, cashew, almond... dips - humus, guacamole... peppers, salads and stuff... snackies olives, grapes, smoked salmon... Other snack stuff...

Evening meal abandoned in favour of later... Viognier, Fleurie, Malt...

So, a very sober welcome to the weekend... :D
