Coogan is great, he's also a prick. I'm sure he'd admit that himself.

In fact, when cast as Tony Wilson I remember him saying 'so that's the second biggest nice person in Manchester playing the first'.

They're all the same. At one time in the past they were pretty good, funny and original. Somewhere or other along the line they had their Mr Bean moment..
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Exasperated.

B & Q. All under one roof:

I wanted a piece of 4" wide melamine shelving 38" long, 4" wide, and a fire retardent panel plus some other items. Melamine only comes in sizes up to 36", then it's an 8ft length. 6" is also the narrowest width. Okay, fair enough, I buy an 8ft length, 6" wide and pay £40 for the panel. Can't be a problem because:
"Items cut free to customer requirements", B & Q state proudly. They have a massive electric wall mounted saw that will cut 2" thick worktops and with horizontal, verical and diagonal controls. The blade is guarded and out of site. No problem. "Can you cut this to size for me mate?" I ask cheerily. "Sorry, can't cut that stuff (the fireplace panel) it's only for wood." But, wait a minute, all these worktops have this sort of finish don't they?" " Ah, but they're chip board in the middle. Sorry"

A bit miffed I accept I'll have to do it myself (done it before with a jigsaw) and hand him the melemine shelf. "Can you slice that to 4" wide then?"
"Sorry, Health and safety say we can't cut anything less than 9" wide mate".
"Are you pulling my leg? That's the safest, best guarded machine I've ever seen!"
"Sorry mate. It's the rules."
"Can you cut it in half then so I can get it in a taxi"
"Well, I shouldn't really but"..quick look around then lops it in two.

I'm fine with Health and Saftey, I saw too many accidents in the timber trade because of a lack of it, but there has to be some sense amongst it all somewhere. Now I have to cut both the panel and the shelf down their length using a jigsaw at home. Makes you wonder what an insurance company would say if I had an accident doing it?

On top of the panel and shelf I buy 3x3ft lengths of 2x2, a packet of screws, three tins of paint and a length of beading. Bill: £104 exactly. Add another £7 quid for a taxi home. Do it yourself, it's cheaper.... yeah. Should just have gone to Axfords.

Still angry from yesterday.. With referees.

Cup Quarter Final, 2-1 down in injury time. Corner comes in, Keeper makes a save, falls into the BACK of the net. Ball falls to me, I smack it as hard as I can. It hits their keeper who's still in the BACK of the net. In it goes.. I get up to celebrate, all their players look absolutely gutted. We're jumping about whilst the ref runs off with his arms out shouting play-on...

Could've fooking murdered him.
"I've got the ball now. It's a bit worn, but I've got it"
