Would it kill him to sprint the whole race?

Amazing nonetheless.

No, but it might just kill the competition. Phenomenal.

Not only is he the fastest man in history, he also inspired Gardner's goal celebration.

Sadly I read an article that said he's a Madrid and Man U fan.

This Samoan female shot-putter didn't qualify but was offered a wild card in the 100 metres sprint. She weighs fourteen stone and took 14.26 seconds for the distance. Erm, that's actually only about five seconds slower than Usain Bolt. Go girl..

was she running directly behind usain bolt? If anything could make you run the 100m in 9.58s then she would.

Just watched machine man Bekele destroy the opposition and win yet another 10,000 metres. Amazing runner.

Reminds me of that bloke who did the same about 7/8 years back (think he was also Samoan?). Unless I dreamt it, cos I can't find owt when I Googled it. Looks quite similar to yon lass, iirc.

An 18 year old South African 800m has been accused of being a man, and now has to prove she's a woman.

Image

You decide.

As an aside, as mildly amusing as the story is, the IAAF have hardly covered themselves in glory treating an 18 year old girl like that.

She has to prove she's a woman? Not difficult, is it?

And when did Fatima Whitbread have to go through this?

Besides, this one's gonna carry on. She's just won the 800m by about 700m. Britain's Jenny Meadows comes from nowhere to clinch the bronze on the line. Very close to silver.
