If this is the answer, what is the question?

If this is the answer, what is the question?

Post by Prufrock » Mon Aug 17, 2009 7:13 pm

Format will be familiar to Mock the Week viewers, but is pretty self explanatary even for those who aren't. The previous winner selects a topical news item, and suggests an answer to an unknown question on that topic. Players have to come up with their own funny suggestions as to what the question might be. For instance, someone might suggest, 'near the Cape Verde Islands' as an answer (the real question being, 'Where did a missing Russian cargo ship turn up this week?') and hillarious contestants could suggest questions such as 'where was Jordan's dignity last seen?'. The winner is chosen in the same way as the caption competition, by the previous winner, and the new winner sets the next question, or should that be, answer. Bonus internet points for whoever can guess the actual question.

Seeing as I was the only entrant for the example, I win by default, and will start off.

If this is the answer, what is the question? : '60 miles'

(and, in keeping with the Mock The Week theme) What is the fallout radius after Kerry Katona's dropped the kids off at the pool?

When Dizzy Gillespie left Charlie Parker's quintet Parker was asked by a newshound tyro what it would take to replace him. Parker glanced over at the annointed (but as yet unannounced) replacement and - with a broad grin - said what?

What distance, if laid end to end, would all the full backs signed by Gary Megson reach?

Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Depends on how fast your travelling at 10mph and you'd be 240 miles away, quite simple really!
