Where are you going tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Watch out for the women. I'm not sure you're up to that lor.
He'll be too busy chatting Rafa up in the bogs
Then he should see if he fancies taking Pratley or Trotter.
There's not enough broon ale in the world to convince him to buy Pratley. As for Trotter I reckon PP is going to build a side around him next season

Ha! Got chatting to a nice Scottish blonde who went mad and lamped one of our party in the face for being rude to her friend. Hadn't met him before and he was asking for it. Hadn't met some if these guys before and a couple of them were a liability. Great weekend though.

Saw some footage of them when they did Heaton Park. At least the crowd sang in tune. ;)

Had a cracking day out today at Wray Castle in The Lakes where Sky Arts were filming Landscape Artist of the Year. There were only around 30 members of the public there and Sky made full use of us in filling in shots and we even got speaking parts at one stage.

This is Frank Skinner relaxing between shoots.

On Saturday night I drove to Birmingham with Mrs GtE and Little Miss GtE to watch Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow. Now Rainbow always had a, ahem, fluid line up. The main singers along the years had been Ronnie James Dio (R.I.P.) Joe Lynn Turner and their most commercial line up with Graham Bonnet at the helm (remember Since you've been gone and (I wanna love ya) All Night Long?) I was too young to see any of them and Rainbow disbanded sometime in the early '80's just prior to Blackmore et al reviving the fantastic MKII Deep Purple line up.

It was billed as a Rainbow concert but was probably 50/50 Rainbow and Deep Purple. The lead singer was a guy called Ronnie Romero (nope, me either) from a band called Lords of Black (nope me either) who did a passable Gillan but a phenomenal Dio. He absolutely nailed Stargazer and Man on the Silver Mountain and Mistreated. I got to hear Soldier of Fortune live which was a major plus for me, personally, as I love the song (even though they cut it short) My only gripe really was the 10 minute Drum and keyboard solos which really had no place in a 1hr 45 minute set, especially as the majority of the crowd had no idea who they were. They could have slotted two more songs in there.

All in all a great night. Even the 2.5 hour drive home (including Car Park exit) didn't dampen my mood. As we headed South I saw the Ricoh Arena ablaze with light. A quick check revealed Rihanna was playing and I wondered, briefly, whether her songs would still be listened to/ watched and sung by crowds of thousands in 50 years time........ Long Live Rock and Roll! :oyea:

Sorry I missed it now. Did Blackmore still smash his guitar up or did he have to get one of the roadies to do it for him? :-)

He was very quiet to be fair. Handed out drinks of water to some of the 'crowd' at the front but apart from that he had little to do with the crowd.

You'd have loved it.

Saw the Breightmet boy some years ago at this Kosovon benefit gig. He was out of tune yet kept blaming it on his piano. Tea-cosied, tuneless c*nt. Enjoy. ;)
