Well in Beefy. Cruella is a bugger however you approach her. Particularly 2nd time around!Beefheart wrote:Probably went too quickly up it both times as I was dead at the top. I reckon if I take it easier going up there I'll be quicker around the rest of it and can get a much better time. Will probably go again next weekend.Bruce Rioja wrote:Nice one, Beefo. How did you get on with Cruella?Beefheart wrote:30:19. Pretty pleased with that for my first attempt. Not massively slower than my best on flat to date.
Will we see you for breakfast one Saturday then?

Now that's name dropping on a grand scale! I imagine there's a few places round there, particularly in the evening, where you'd be better off runningLeverEnd wrote:Well in beefy. Did my morning run between Barra and Ipanema beaches in Rio. Didn't miss Cruella !

Did another 10 mile run and got my time down to 1.44:50 which is about another 4 minutes quicker.

Great stuff. You gonna try for sub 2 hours on the half marathon?

Re: The athletics/running thread
Big weekend done.
After my swim and run and drive to Birmingham for the concert (returning home at 1.30 am) I was up at 6.45 for my 100 mile ride. Set off just before 08.00 and back at 14.00
Shattered now. Somehow in 3 weeks time I have to pit all this together in one day.

Hopefully, though I'm still of the mindset that I'll be happy enough just finishing it.Gary the Enfield wrote:

Yes, but disappointed I can't find a racist comedian from the 1970s to watch.Burnden Paddock wrote:Are the beaches and surrounding areas as nice and classy as those at Blackpool?LeverEnd wrote:Well in beefy. Did my morning run between Barra and Ipanema beaches in Rio. Didn't miss Cruella !

In the words of Mr H Genshaw - I've never done a run in my life that I couldn't have bailed out of within the first 1K.MattySlug wrote:I re hurt me hammy the other day after only thinking about Running!!!
Anyway, who's there tomorrow? Just me and LeverEnd's lil sis again?
Our running crew's falling apart like a British political party.

Indeed. I'm usually about 500 metres in when I start questioning myself. Anyway, only me there this morning - layabouts.Prufrock wrote:Really? 1k it's normally where I feel great! I'm gonna run 15 miles, this is it, oh my god why am I so far from home?
