Next week I will go out for a run. Someone hold me accountable please!
I'll check. Will need specific plans.
It happened! Nothing to write home about though. 20 min plod with the dog - but it’s a start right?!
Lapping everyone on the couch! well done.

5k TT last night in a club mob match. 22:05, which I'm happy with. A long way from where I want to be, but trending in the right direction, and considering my lack of fitness atm I'm encouraged what I'll be like when i get back into regular training and repeatable healthy habits. Leg was fine throughout to which was great.

Now to rest up, ease off the work events and get back at it tomorrow.

Good stuff! That sounds impressive to me. Today’s exercise here was Pilates in the morning and umpiring 2 netball matches in the afternoon! Oh, and taking youngest swimming shortly. Not that I will probably swim a stroke myself!

Well done. Are you running in any of the Chingford League, Sunday League, or Met League events?

Have a look at the Southern Championship Cross Country race at Parliament Hill Fields too (Feb I think). Bloody brutal.

Went to my first Parkrun in aaaages on Saturday. Met up with Burden Paddock and Lever End and their entourage.

Had a great run and was pleased to dip into the top 100 (there were 750 finishers)

Need to sort out a decent breakfast venue for next time though .....😂

Blimey, that’s a massive park run!

Debating starting playing Monday night football again more regularly with some lads I know, given the running is going so badly. Been added to the whatsapp group for extra pressure of joining up but it’s so cold out!! I keep putting it off. Definitely a fair weather athlete (apart from when it’s then too hot!)

Good to see you GtE.
Heaton Parkrun Manchester, GG. A few were called off for ice so I think that swelled it but it's always well attended. Big park with wide roads.
Was bloody freezing. Actually ran for a bit with my hands down my pants to warm them up (honestly, officer).

Anyone of you lot use an inhaler? Just recently been given one to try and stop me coughing til I retch after every run. They think it's Exercise Induced Bronchoconstriction brought on by an infection I had a couple of years ago. Anyway, just wondered if anyone had any experience of inhalers and Salbutamol in particular.

I have a Salbutamol one too. Gets me in cold weather straight after I warm up, first time I start to get out of breath. Have had it about 10 years. I'm not sure it makes any difference to me tbqhwy.

I'm minded to agree. Although it's only been 3 days. Not enjoying the headache that comes with it ....😬
