26:03 this morning. Not bad, but felt I did better. Hopefully can get under 25 soon.
Also, apparently Ned Boulting ran in my parkrun this morning. Which is nice.

Tried really hard this morning and set off a lot faster than usual. It bit me in the ar5e halfway through. 22.47 20 seconds away from my best time this year. On the upside- breakfast was lush

Shaved 13 seconds off my PB with a time of 26.34. Had enough in the tank for a Mo Farah-esque kick at the end to break into the top 100 for the first time (presumably due to a lower turn out but it definitely still counts)

Good going everyone. I'm with Bruce on Cuerden Valley. Don't know which feck* suggested that?
Well over a minute down on last week. It's all this training and not boozing messing me up.

You must have been focusing on your PB when you blanked my shout of 'Go on Beefy' on the out and back!Beefheart wrote:Shaved 13 seconds off my PB with a time of 26.34. Did my first Bolton PR (in the rain, sort of) in 4 months after injury. Not as fast as I would have liked, but relatively happy with 30:45 after struggling on Cruella on the second lap.

I didn't even hear that, sorry!Burnden Paddock wrote:You must have been focusing on your PB when you blanked my shout of 'Go on Beefy' on the out and back!Beefheart wrote:Shaved 13 seconds off my PB with a time of 26.34. Ran 6 miles in the pissing rain this morning then took the Mrs. to Redbridge cycle circuit to ride her new bike. Did about 9 miles but MAN it was windy. 10 miles early tomorrow for a bit of fun. This 'taking it easy' lark is a lot of fun.

After the horrors of Cuerden Valley pr, I've arranged to meet my parkrun touring mate at Lytham next week. Flat as a pancake apparently.
