Just back from Pilates which is pretty much the only exercise I do these days save walking a lot of steps week days in general life/work. Still have zero motivation to run, need to start playing football with the lads again Mondays but cba even with that at the moment. How’s everyone else getting on?

Got GtE coming over for the Leeds Abbey Dash 10k in 3 weeks. Should be a good do. Some very fast runners turn up for it and usually 2-3000 overall. Out of town to the ruins of Kirkstall Abbey and back. Trying to tempt Bruce and BP.

I was well up for it when you first mentioned it around 6 weeks ago. Miles since then? Zero! 🙄

I have a midweek date with HG if work doesn’t get in the way and another run planned at the weekend. My lack of exercise resulted in a very tight calf after running back to the car after the match yesterday. Be reet.

Sounds romantic, don’t put out on the first date, even if he pays for the meal BP, you’re worth more then that!

Got Knutsford 10km Sunday and Leeds Abbey Dash the week after but my calf is playing silly buggers. Tweaked it warming up for ParkRun on Saturday. Sports massage booked for tomorrow will, hopefully, sort it out.

A month on and not much changed. Missed Knutsford but managed Leeds Abbey Dash (in Biblical conditions I may add) but am now having trouble with the other leg. Pulled up short on a run last night. Hope I can sort it for the weekend when I'm up for a 5km race in Bromley Cross.

Anybody else getting out and about?

Just been to Rammy. Felt both guilty and deflated seeing all the 'Impending Road Closure' signs out for this Sunday's Bury 10K.

In the New Year, Boyo, we HAVE to make a start on the long road back.

Aye. I keep seeing the same signs and thinking I should be involved. Then I remember it now takes in the full length of Totty Road and think ‘Thank feck for that!’ 😉

If you want me to put a training programme together, including proper warm up and cool down sessions, I'd be happy to. Back to basics. It'd help me too as I've just taken a Leader in Running Fitness course and I could use you two for practice.

Went to Pilates today and I’m planning on joining the leisure centre in January so I will get unlimited exercise classes included In the price, might motivate me?!
