An hour or so apart, but I take your point. It was the crunches that seemed hardest.Gooner Girl wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 8:42 pmProbably because you’d just run 3.5 miles?!Burnden Paddock wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 8:16 pm3.5 mile run, followed by day 4 of the abs workout done. The latter seemed tougher today.

Is that what you wear to the school office as finance manager? I mean I’m all for expressing yourself through clothing BP, whatever floats your boat, but is it not a bit chilly for that up in the grim north?Burnden Paddock wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 10:50 pm#metooGooner Girl wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 10:34 pmDon’t! Dress code is suit, shirt and tie. Whatever I wear underneath is my business. Right?
Btw it’s Business Operations Manager now. Do keep up!

Disappointed that the middle word of your new job title doesn’t start with a ‘U’. I know that’s very Lever End of me.Burnden Paddock wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 11:09 pmGooner Girl wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 10:57 pmIs that what you wear to the school office as finance manager? You’re clearly spending too much virtual time in LE’s company. Now you know how it’s affected me, having actually been in his company for a few years!
A former boss of mine once rejected her new job title, for the very reason you specified. For some reason, she became arsey about being known as the Budget Unit Manager. Can’t think why!
Feeling the effects of 3 runs in a week and the abs workout, after a very lazy few months, which makes my inability to sleep between 2:30 and 5am all the more bewildering!

Managed to drag my lardy round 25k since Sunday. It's not been a pleasure. Traumatic would probably be more accurate.

Once upon a time I was a Fulfilment Director. I'll leave it to your imagine what that entailed

Feel better than a couple of weeks back, thanks, still ongoing "investigations" though!

Day 5 done. Can’t wait until they all feel as easy as that. Not that I’m envisaging that will be for a while!

Day five in the books alongside a 10k. Still too far really for my knee/hammy but I think I'd go spare without it. Still in arrears to the tune of one day 4.

Re: The athletics/running thread
Day 5 done here too.
Buying a bike for the youngest tomorrow. Early birthday present. It’s a very lightweight (read expensive) bike as he learnt to ride without stabilisters before he started school but hasn’t made much progress since, largely I think because his hand me down bike from his brother is cheap, old and heavy. I shall probably end up running alongside him shouting “don’t crash, be careful, mind the paint work!” however when he wins the Tour de France in years to come I’m sure my expensive choice shall be vindicated.
In the meantime, I’d like to get back to cycling myself now the weather is getting better. My bike is very old and crappy too but I did have it serviced last summer. Be nice to get out and about. Think I might enjoy it more then running.
