Italian Restaurant in Bolton
There was a little Italian restaurant near to Nelson Square.
Is it still there?
If not what happened and has it moved elsewhere?

Yeah, think so. I've been in only once quite a while ago.

I remember the corner. I think it has a street lamp on it, and both the corner and the street lamp are still there.
Hope this helps.
If you could see it on google maps, you might be able to get the name of it and ring 'em up...

It used to be Tiggis. It's now called Prosecco. Only been once, the food was ok, but the service was abysmal.
Re: Italian Restaurant in Bolton
not tiggis, that was on the main road
Re: Italian Restaurant in Bolton

Re: Italian Restaurant in Bolton
In that case are you thinking of Ciao Napoli, as you walk through from Nelson Square towards the town centre?

Lost my garlic bread virginity at Tiggis.

Don't do it! It's fecking shite. The last time I was there they poured something indescribable into a Peroni bottle and tried passing it off as the real stuff. I took it back to the bar and demanded they open another one in front of me. Totally different! I ordered the same starter as someone else in our party and they looked like completely different dishes. I sent it back and wouldn't go again if they paid me.

See what happens when you stray from the town hall.

I've had some nice nights and lunches there from time to time. But not recently.

Re: Italian Restaurant in Bolton
It was probably around a year ago. I've been 2 or 3 times before and not particularly enjoyed it, but that's probably because we've had a pizza/pasta lunchtime deal as part of a large group and they're not my favourite foods by any stretch. Not ideal when you're going for an Italian, I know!William the White wrote:How long ago was this BP?Burnden Paddock wrote:Don't do it! It's fecking shite. Re: Italian Restaurant in Bolton
so its still going then, anyone been recently who likes Italian?
Re: Italian Restaurant in Bolton
Went quite recently, prefer it to Tiggi's/Prosecco which in my opinion has no charm (reminds me of Nando's in this respect).

I went to Tiggi's a while back and I went outside for a second for some fresh air and got sexually harrassed off some girl with a massive rack coming out of Courtney's. I'm still yet to decide whether it was brilliant or press charges.
