it'll just be a problem with the venue most likely... (it'll be nothing to do with your blood or you!)

you don't have to go to that one - you can go to any session - just look up sessions near you on or around that date and book yourself in there instead.

Oh, I hope so. Only normally they think nothing of ringing me at work whenever they feel like it, writing to me every week etc.

I'll give 'em a call, see what they say.

Mid February for me. That will be number 37.

A few years ago the nurses said my scar tissue is getting a bit 'thick' and it was difficult to get the needle in. I've since changed to my other arm on their advice so I don't know how many more times I will be able to donate. Anyone else been told that?

Went to Walker Memorial Hall today for my very last donation there. The venue is 'too small' so they're moving out to.......

The Reebok!

Actually, it was going to be my last there for a while anyway. I am on a study about donation intervals and will be randomly selected to give every 8, 10 or 12 weeks (as at present) and I have to go into Manchester for that.

On my last session I was tested to see if I could be a platelet donor. Apparently, whilst I have normal levels I don't have an over abundance and therefore am not suitable to be a donor.

Something else I'm average at.

Exactly! At least now they give you biscuits before as well as after. I'll just have to convince them that eating DURING the session is beneficial too.

Another donation for me tonight so up to 35 or 36 now. Should make the big 50 in about 5 years.

Donation number nine last Wednesday. Thought it was more but, hey.

I've now donated nearly as much blood as I have in my body.

feck you, Hancock!

Hang on.

Why is this called a 'swing-ometer' and not just a blood-ometer? Unless thebish has nicked Peter Snow to do the deed.

I mentioned back in January that I'm on an interval study. I've just now been told I will be giving every 8 weeks for the next two years

That'll soon get me up to my century - if I don't fade away first!
