It looked to me like the first shot missed and then the rest hit as she ran for cover.General Mannerheim wrote:at risk of looking like a schadenfreude, i watched the gunmans footage this morning.
its chilling. unbelievable that he is stood so close, with a gun pointed at the reporter for so long without her or the interviewee even acknowledging him.. then the fact that after he opens fire she has time to look at him before turning to run away! did those first few shots miss or is that adrenaline kicking in? madness.
It almost didn't seem real. Like you say, the amount of time he is stood there pointing the gun almost makes it feel as though the guy was invisible!

Coincidence and weird timing.
Last night, unprompted, my thoughts turned to a friend I hadn't seen for a good few years. This morning, I had a text from her. The postie then delivered a letter confirming my retirement next week. 20 minutes later, I had a phone call offering me a job. I'm a tad freaked out to be honest.

I hadn't placed you ion the retirement age category tbh. Still, it's quite enjoyable.Bijou Bob wrote:Coincidence and weird timing.

I'm not in the usual retirement age Monty, but it would have been rude to refuse a kind offer.

Anyone witness the Cilla-esque scenes in Bury today as local sex pest, Neville 'Nev' Neville was laid to rest? The man with the world's most unimaginative parents was taken from the parish church to his final resting place. The local grief monkeys, not to be out done by their scouse counterparts, turned up to the church in Utd shirts(classy) with some throwing flowers at the cortege. One bloke, clearly old enough to know better, told local reporters "I've supported united for 50 years and wanted to show my support for the Neville brothers"
Clearly, this is going to be an expensive pastime if he shows his support by attending the funerals of ex players fathers. For his sake I hope Juan Sebastian Veron's dad is in rude health.
There was a brief flurry of interest when Phil Neville appeared to have turned up in a dress. It was a while before someone pointed out it was actually his sister Tracey.

Note to self: Never again eat spaghetti with clams a la vongole and follow this with a strong black coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice just before getting on an aircraft. In my defence, it was quiet when I slipped to the bog and I really didn't expect to see a queue outside when I opened the door. To the bloke who was first in the queue who had to run back to his seat without getting inside the cubicle, I apologise profusely. Still, there was just no need for a look like THAT.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Well, that should fix our financial problems !

I've been seeing a client for a few weeks now. She's only young and crippled by anxiety, but yesterday she came in and said " Thank you for making me better, I've bought you a present". I was delighted, until she followed up with " I've got you these shortbread, I know old people like them". Gutted.

On a similair theme I stepped onto a crowded tube train yesterday only for a young man to offer me his seat.
