Did okay as a wrestling venue with the TV. Kent Walton? Got a bit more upmarket lower down with The Rialto facing the Palais. Civilisation started at Len Tobutt's Sport Shop.

Yeah

Didn't ever go to Blue Lagoon - don't think I was old enough - but it sure had a great reputation... Not quite as tasty as Wood Street in the afternoons... But close...

Which I've also never seen. I was living abroad for most of the 80s and have missed one or two 'classics' of British TV.

He uttgered the pleasantry "Je m'excuse" as he dusted me off and positioned me more or less upright so I suppose it counts as a meeting.
