If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

The T-W Open Golf Championship 2012

Post by Bruce Rioja » Sun Jul 22, 2012 7:05 pm

Spoke with the defending champion, mummywhycantieatcrayons, who's happy to head north to defend his crown. So, now then, rather than look at dates that people can do, let's cross off ones that they can't and see where we end up. Oh, and apparently, Regent's Park is about to take out those bottom swamps mid-August, so we may wish to consider that, too.
To anyone reading that hasn't along to this previously, it truly is open to absolutely everyone and believe me, lack of ability is no barrier (I've won it once  ), so please, don't be shy. It's always a cracking do amongst relatively like-minded types, and if any women golfers would like to join in then please, you'll be more than welcome, and we promise not to get our winkies out if we don't get it past your tee. ;)

Apart from this coming Saturday I'm free every weekend from now until the end of Sept (although I'm hopeful for a Burnley ticket so you can scratch that Saturday off (Aug 18)).

I'll try to make it. My rota sees me working a fair few weekends, but if I can make it down from Carlisle I will do.

I've practically given up the game since winning this last year, so poor have my other outings been, but watching the Open has fanned the flame of enthusiasm and I'm doing my best to get into some kind of shape for the Hoylake Mixed Open Scratch Foursomes over the August Bank Holiday weekend (I've stupidly agreed to join the committee for that, so I can't not play...).

So I can't do 25-27 August and I'm at a wedding down here on Fri 31 August, so I had probably better rule out Sat 1st Sept.

I know it's short notice now, but how do people feel about 11/12 August?

Not really available until September, I'm afraid, but such has been my lack of golf action this year that I'm itching to pick up the clubs again.
