Re: General Chit Chat
Saw that earlier. I think the point is that rather than individual questions the overall length and complexity was too high a level for 10/11 year olds to complete in an hour. Its hard to judge from three questions - which I have to say do seem relatively complex and I suspect a LOT of UK adults would get them wrong. Not saying the level is too hard because I can't really judge but there are definitely lots of adults who would get those questions wrong.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 1:57 pmSo. The KS2 Year 6 reading test. Dunno what they're blubbing about. Piece of piss.
Even staff "had to really think" about the answers, the National Association of Head Teachers (NAHT) said.
We should be identifying any staff who really had to think about these answers and probably retrain them.

I never really understood the issue though in that all these tests are bell curve graded so if its hard it just means the end results are adjusted accordingly. Though I get its upsetting for kids at that age if what they face is harder than they've been expecting.

Pubs and Bars. Dogs welcome. Fine with it, but maybe if there's a one person wide route, you park the thing somewhere else...

Big family (read Father's ) Day today; nine family and a Maltese/Yorkie cross dog, one daughter working. Youngest child is my great grandaughter at 2, eldest my eldest step daughter in her fifties. Next youngest is my three year old granddaughter, so work this out: What relation id my three year old grand-daughter to my two year old great grand-daughter?
Can you believe, the great gandaughter is her aunt......her Aunt? Crazy hey?

At least they'll have some nice new trainers to run away from the elitists with! The media do love this though.. In order to turn the public against people who want justice and to fight for liberties, they'll focus on something like a popular shop being looted, as opposed to the real issue, which is regular police brutality. Across Northern Europe, the police are becoming more interested in protecting the elites of society and crushing any dissentersTANGODANCER wrote: ↑Fri Jun 30, 2023 12:03 pmNot sure what looting and trashing anything proves B.B.boltonboris wrote: ↑Fri Jun 30, 2023 11:39 amGood on them. feck the policeTANGODANCER wrote: ↑Fri Jun 30, 2023 9:42 am700 French citizens get arrested protesting against a police shooting by rioting. Re: General Chit Chat
I took the kids to Manchester Museum a few weeks ago. There were about 70-80 protestors outside Man Met Uni, with flares and placards protesting against Braverman's new policing bill and her unlawful Rwanda policy.
For every protestor, there must have been 2 policemen. A water cannon, batons, riot shields and video cameras in all their faces. Helicopters overhead..
They were just students singing bloody hippy songs for gods sake.
That weekend, one of our neighbours had 2 blokes walk into their house in the middle of the day with a machete and an iron bar and emptied the place of cash and jewellery. The police asked them for their ring doorbell footage. They didn't have one. Nothing they can do in that case. Move on to the next one
