Dunno what's most stupid. Him posting in the first place, her thinking she's "outed" a scandal, the papers for thinking it's news, or us bothering to comment on it.

I think once she cynically tweeted it for the purposes of self-advancement, and then people seized upon it, that it is worthy of comment. She deserves the backlash she's getting. He deserves to be considered an ageing buffoon. her response to him was entirely reasonable, putting it in the public domain was disproportionate beyond belief.

And although I would, she's not THAT fit.

... or her not realising the shit-storm she was creating as the meeja dug into her past and show her to be a mad, vindictive beggar. The addage of "those in glass houses" has never been better proven.

She has now gone to ground. I don't blame her.

Posting this here so as not to interfere with other folks' happiness (Ah, okay, I'm milking the moment because it was an amazing experience). :D

For the last three weeks, together with 23 other Bolton folk ( including a couple of season ticket holders and an ex member of this site) with an average age of 70 plus (one lady is 86) , I've been at various venues ( that was actually our third visit in a fortnight to the Macron) surrounded by cameras and booms, learning a short sequence dance as part of a B.B.C production of dance in Bolton since the 1950's to be shown as three programmes on TV in the coming January. It all culminated in a half time five minute appearance at the Macron stadium in front of fourteen and a half thousand fans of Bolton and Sheffield (less the pie and pint half-timers), a bit of a frightening prospect to say the least. .

All seemed quite short at the end, but that was just part of it. So far there's been over two hundred hours of work done by producers, camera folk and sound technicians and this is only part one of three for them and a lot of hours practise for us. Can't say much about the rest as it's still under wraps, but this part is public now via the crowd and the media. For the teachers both who have been involved in top-class film work including teaching James Bond (Daniel Craig) to jive, and producers it was all about trying to get everybody in some sort of sequence to music (not an easy task, believe me). There were plenty pre-nerves but the crowd's reaction was fantastic.

Yes, we had to wait at half-time for the cheer-leaders and blokes kicking footballs through holes to finish, and it pained to be in the stadium and only see the game on the monitors, but in the end it was all so worth while. To dance on the hallowed turf ( I never realise just how much of a camber there is wing-to-wing in the pitch) in front to the Super Whites faithful during a match is a lifetime highlight for me. It took some bottle, but we did it. A fantastic experience. Chuffed to bollox. Did I say chuffed to bollox? Oh yes, I did. :)

Excellent stuff, and yes, the crowd where I was midway in ESL did give you all a very good reception, which I was very pleased with.

Unfortunately, not the wife who is suffering arthritis quite badly and can't dance. Nice lady and a decent dancer though, from Darcy. :)
