Warm or sunny? I wear sunglasses in winter sunshine more than I do in summer due to the sun's lowered angle and its reflection off of wet roads on clear days.danhorwich wrote:I think its just lazy, me uncle always said to me if a man is prepared to hide his face then what else is he prepared to hide, he also said the same for people who wear sunglasses especially when it is not warm. Mind you my uncle is the most dishonest person I have ever met and probably tells 9 lies for every truthful thing he tells you.

Has anyone had any experience with Michael Page? Sent a CV off last week and they invited me in for a chat after work today, they seemed keen to put me forward for various jobs, but I'm not entirely convinced they aren't just some commission hungry wide boys.

Well ... they're commission earners, so that's a fact, but they have a very wide access to Company senior managers and they offer more jobs than most.Beefheart wrote:Has anyone had any experience with Michael Page? Particularly strong in Finance and HR work.
Not wide boys, within what CAN be an industry of spivs.
But don't take my word for it ... fck it, ask them. "Are you just spivs & wide boys ?" should do the trick. They certainly wouldn't bother you again.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Don't think I'll go as far as to ask them directly! I was just curious, they did seem to know the market really well.bobo the clown wrote:Well ... they're commission earners, so that's a fact, but they have a very wide access to Company senior managers and they offer more jobs than most.Beefheart wrote:Has anyone had any experience with Michael Page? It's the job of someone to shave its ringpiece and bollocks. Consider that the next time you're having a poor day at work.

What does its owner look like?
Why would you do that to an animal that had done you no wrong. It looks unspeakably horrible.

Re: General Chit Chat
I was watching a bit of Crufts on Sunday convinced it was the most mental thing I've ever seen. They have dogs in a line, then some middle aged fecking loser jogs up and down with to a round of applause. Then some woman decides which one has the best haircut and is genetically the 'best' (the commentator mentioned how one dog had 'correct shoulders') probably as the result of some fecked up dog eugenics. Then they award a rosette, not to the dog who clearly has no concept that it has just won a competition (despite commentators claiming that some dogs were 'loving the atmosphere' of the event), but to the human. How is this a thing?!Annoyed Grunt wrote:Best in Show
From the makers of Spinal Tap.......always think that Crufts is exactly like that....
