I've quite enjoyed going to the odd non League game and will again when possible. I never watch any premier League or European football though. Hold a passing interest in who is doing what but never sit through it.
Have you always been that way LE or has it changed over time? Were you a little football statto as a kid?!

I subscribe to sky sports but hardly watch any games and when I do, find myself easily distracted. It’s overkill as much as anything imo. In my day (yes, GG about 100 years ago 😉) you only had a handful of live games on the telly and they always meant so much. I’m not sure even Fulham and Palace fans would have been excited to watch their game today.

As soon as sky came in with all their money, there was no going back. When the bottom club receives £170m for abject failure, you know there’s too much money floating around in the game. Yes. I’m
aware that I’m a part of the ‘problem’.

Watched the one live game a week on a Sunday afternoon on ITV every week because it was a novelty.
Was a reet geek. Once memorised all 92 football league grounds from my dad's Rothwell's Football Yearbook because I was bored in the school holidays. 😁

Quite a few, but in the 30 intervening years a few clubs have moved. Or gone out of the league.

Not to mention those that are now sponsored. Bradford must have had 5 or 6 different names, at least. I can’t keep up with the changes!

Anyone seen this new trend of celebs making money by recording personalised voice messages for people? Ones just popped up on Twitter as I was browsing. I mean, I may fan girl over Nigel Winterburn, Its possible i do have a signed photo of him (in younger years) in my bedside cabinet , but I’m not sure I’d pay £50 to hear him say my name and ask how my days been.

World book day today and I thought we would make a slight effort this year (last year son number 1 went as Aubameyang in his football kit ). So, for those of you familiar with Dr Seuss and children’s classics, the youngest went as the cat in the hat and the twins were thing 1 and thing 2.

I consider that hat my biggest lockdown achievement. 8)

My abiding memory of Winterburn is one of him giving it the big one to Paulo di Canio after he'd been sent off at Hillsborough - di Canio turning round to him and Winterburn's arse falling out :D

Ha. I remember that. I wouldn’t want to get on di Canio’s wrong side would you?! He was a proper hard man. :D

Mine is of him passing the ball back to Seaman at Highbury, only to under hit it. Owen Coyle hit the post and the rebound was smashed in by McAteer! David Lee then put Dixon and Adams on their arses with a through ball to Andy Walker, who scored our third to knock out the cup holders!

Cheers Nige!

Home School all done. Underwhelmed by lack of Thankyou cards and presents from grateful students and parent but there we go.  They are back Monday (and I’m back to work also). Hope I’ve not screwed them up for life. Teaching other people’s kids is far easier.

Me too, only mine's in Tonge Moor. From what I know of the area I guess I won't be the only bloke to be found round there with a needle sticking out of his arm?! :?

What on earth is going on in France.

Originally, France approved the AZN vaccine but limited its use to under 65s.

They then shelved it completely owing to the blood clots scare, which the EMA said yesterday was a false narrative. Vaccination with AZN resumed.

Today, the French regulator has said the AZN vaccine should only be given to the OVER 55s.

WTAF. Way to completely shatter the remaining public confidence in a vaccine you've already ragged on for the best part of a month.

Hindsight is an extraordinary thing but it is remarkable that at this stage of it all they've chosen this path. People are literally going to die because of this absurd politicking.
