TW Members. Introspection on an Epic scale.

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Day 3: Campath and Fludarabine (chemo). Also on antibiotics as they found bacteria in his Hickman line. Will be mostly hooked up today, so no fun for his mum....or him.

Also, needs blood transfusion.

Fludarabine actually starts tomorrow.

Got a message passed to me at work "call the wife". Slightly panicked, I call her.

Freddie has had a card delivered, saying that you don't know me but I know your dad, we talk about football sometimes. There are some stickers in the card that "can be put on the nurses when they're not looking"

Cheers Bish.

You can have Christmas any time you want. Its only an arbitrary date anyway. Good wishes.

Oh, we intend to do something once he's out.

I have nothing to add to this thread other than Freddie, yourself and the rest of your family have my best wishes.

Switch to Eastern Orthodoxy and have Xmas on January 7! I have no idea how long the recovery period in hospital is for an infant bone marrow transplant. Clearly more than a month after the operation. Fingers still crossed.

My thoughts are with you. With luck he'll still be able to enjoy Christmas. It will just be a different venue. Keep the updates coming.

Nothing really to update from overe the weekend, apart from he took his first steps.

He will start the last phase of the conditioning today. Dose of Fludarabine, dose of Ciclosporin (anti rejection drug). Will also be hooked up to hydration fluid for 24 hours.

Took his first steps? That's a great milestone (especially in the circumstances). Way to go, Stevie!
