It's a man's game, Dujon, so no gloves or snoods allowed
 Yeah, mate, we're the tough guys, we play in eniffink. They are mad, Salford. There was an RL game played in Penrith yesterday. 80 minutes of bash-and-barge contested in a temperature of 32ºC.

Koukash really does mean business for next season and he has even named a horse after his key signing

Some really decent signings there. Smith and Chase have the potential to be the best half back pairing in the league. Only negative I see is there's a fair few older players who've been brought in - Puletua, Meli and Morley spring to mind.

Saints completed their shopping for next season today. Love the way we seem to be shaping up. We've strengthened in all the areas we've been weak the last 2 seasons and now have a very young, very exciting spine to the team that could be together for a while.

Well done Leigh who've just stuffed Featherstone Rovers in the Championship Grand Final. A superb season.

Just watched that on sky.

What a team!

Play with such pace, looked a few paces faster that their opponents, Higson's finish was tremendous, that dive and reach before hitting touch

Featherstone did well to come back into it after Leigh threatened to run riot on 20 points.

Final scoreline justifies the leythers overall dominance.

It's a pity there's no promotion this year due to the restructuring of the leagues. Looking at the season end table it appears that Leigh were virtually unbeatable throughout the competition. Well done, Centurions.

Used to go watching Leigh a few years ago but gave up when there became no promotion to play for. They looked better than ever this year.

Watched it last night with the old man on telly. Couldn't help but smile at the comments like, "I used to know his granddad," "I worked with his sister at Asda," "His dad used to play for Leigh Miners." - It's still a community game, which football lost some time ago.

shows the incident in much better detail

despite this incident it was still a very good final

Wigan did exceptionally well being a man down but the length of time they had to play with one down eventually took its toll.

Incredible night. From James doing the pre-match entertainment to the result itself. Saints have done incredibly well this year after being written off over and over. No one abe them a chance on Saturday with them missing their 4 biggest play makers.

The flower incident was disgusting. GMP are said to be having a look at taking things further and I'm not surprised. It pretty much sums up Wigan's and Wane's general thuggery.

So pleased for the saints boys though, especially Paul wellens after everything they've been through at old Trafford since 2006.

Have the Police not shown any interest in this? Had this happened on the steps of a nighclub it'd be on fecking Crimewatch!

6 months sounds harsh but given there's no games for the next 4 months I think he can count himself a little lucky. The whole thing has pissed me off a bit though as there's been hardly any focus on what a good job Nathan brown and saints have done

Needs to be an official complaint doesn't there?

No. As it happened in full view of police, television and the public, if the police view there to be an offence which could have legs then they can pursue it. From what i believe they're currently in discussion with the CPS as to whether to follow it through.

The whole of rugby league has known about WIgan's shithouse tactics for ages, but now a video has emerged of a Shaun Wane half time team talk from a FRIENDLY.
“Knock people out. I can’t give you any more of a free rein than that.

“Create f****** mayhem. Be reckless. Because that’s what’s going to get us a f****** win next week

Ridiculous stuff. Police have to get involved in that. Must say I have v little sympathy for Hohaia himself, mind. An off the ball coming together after which he went after Flower and charging into him clearly looking for a fight. Obviously, doesn't remotely excuse what then happened. Then the first punch is bad enough but to go and hit him again whilst he's out on the floor. Prick!
