Boston Marathon hit by explosions

Re: Boston Marathon hit by explosions
This is actually unreal, the Boston police force is now telling everybody in Boston to stay inside there houses and to only answer the door to police. Does that mean all the businesses and schools have shut down?. Either way I think that sort of statement is ludicrous whether it has been followed or not.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

Likely got pressured into it by big brother who sounds a bit of a sociopath. He (BB) wrote on facebook (or some social media) he did not have a single American friend and did not understand Americans. Still, I don't suppose they understand him.mrkint wrote:Aye. Considering the lad's 19 too i doubt he would have had a particularly big affiliation with Checnya? idk

I feel a bit sorry for the chap who was stripped naked, interrogated and then let go.

Fair enough. and that is entirely possible and plausible.
Though I'm rather loathe to deliberate on the motives now SOCIAL MEDIA has got its paws on it. This morning they were identifying anyone who vaguely looked like the guys as the bombers.

Now apparently Kyrgyzstan not Kazakhstan. Pardonable error.

depends who makes it, surely... I wouldn't expect a professional news agency to make that kind of error, or the FBI... would calling Canadians "American" be equally pardonable?Montreal Wanderer wrote:Now apparently Kyrgyzstan not Kazakhstan. Pardonable error.

I was of course jesting about the possibility of 99% of US citizens knowing the difference. I suppose Canadians are American to the extent Scots are British. The US should not monopolize an entire continent (two according to some) to describe their little part of it.thebish wrote:depends who makes it, surely... No, I said come to Virginia (but don't start Bobo off again). However, I live on the American continent and am American to the extent you are European.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Monty called himself an American earlierthebish wrote:depends who makes it, surely... I tried that VERY argument on my Canadian brother-in-Law - he was not in the LEAST bit receptive (to say the least) to being called American - in the continent sense!Montreal Wanderer wrote:I was of course jesting about the possibility of 99% of US citizens knowing the difference. Have you seen the quality of their reporting?
I'd say its a f*cking miracle they were that close.

aye - I have - but it is still not pardonable, is it??
Re: Boston Marathon hit by explosions
Reports are they are not originally from Kyrgyzstan but do carry that passport. There are rumours, and I say rumours since it was reported on CNN that they may originate from Chechnia.

I'll take the ban if deemed necessary but I'm not having that.
Think you both got a little bit mixed up somewhere in the thread. Admit it, shake hands and get on hey?
