Just learned of the passing of an old mate. So sad, but when you're on the Vodka for breakfast then I suppose it's only ever going to end one way. RIP Fleck.

Sir George Martin. General genius music producer of that early boy band 'The Beatles'. RIP And thanks.

Though no particular fan of the Beatles, what Martin turned a bunch of three-chord chancers into was absolutely astonishing. Five Live has been covering the story for most of the day - glad to see they paid him due respect by giving interviews to both Pete Waterman and that tunes nice person from The Farm

RIP

That was meant to say 'tuneless nice person', by the way. Yes, get on, get on, get on your Gravy Train and head straight for the fecking sea!

Oi!!!!
That's the Chair of the Beatles Legacy group you're talking about. Have some respect.
You can tell by the photo that he's taking his role seriously.

PS That song is fcuking dreadful. And it was their only hit, so god knows what the others were like.

It's a properly scouse song. Has anyone figured out what they're supposed to be doing once they're all together. Tying a yellow ribbon round an oak tree is my guess.

Keith Emerson. Blimey, they're dropping like flies.

RIP. Here's to a fanfare to the common man.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

They were in "No-man's Land" apparently. It could've been anywhere, they'd still have been playing the victim card

Suicide apparently. Gunshot wound to the head.

And on another note my sister died yesterday. Her Downs rapidly led to Alzheimers over the last few months and she breathed her last late yesterday.

Somewhat closer to home. That's very sad. Best wishes to all of you.

To be fair to The Farm, the lyrics for 'Fanfare' weren't much cop either....
