You have my sympathy, Clappers - sounds like she had a difficult life. RIP.

Sorry to learn that, Clapton. Hope you're all as ok as can be expected, Fella.

Thanks everybody, much appreciated.Montreal Wanderer wrote:You have my sympathy, Clappers - sounds like she had a difficult life. RIP.
She had a great life, Monty. Was happy, was free, was independent, well capable of looking after herself, loved her music, loved life. It was only this last 12 months or so that she changed and that accelerated over the last couple of months. Proud to have been her big brother.

Great words and credit to you and all the family. Downs .... though you'd not chose it, does offer delights and the Downs "sufferers" are often happy and funny and exceedingly loving. Those never exposed to people with the condition don't know what you're missing.clapton is god wrote:Thanks everybody, much appreciated.Montreal Wanderer wrote:You have my sympathy, Clappers - sounds like she had a difficult life. Still my condolences Clappers. A sad loss, but such memories I know you'll have.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Then I guess she was blessed to have a good quality of life and you were blessed to have her as a sister. Take care.clapton is god wrote:Thanks everybody, much appreciated.Montreal Wanderer wrote:You have my sympathy, Clappers - sounds like she had a difficult life. RIP.

Sorry to hear that Clapton. I have known a few people with Downs and they are definitely capable of more than we mere mortals who lack the extra chromosome to be so happy.

Sylvia Anderson .... Lady Penelope. Interesting, bright, creative and very attractive lady. Sylvia was OK too.

Two shocks: One that he was already 68 (time so flies) and two, 68 is no age to die at. A real class act in his day. R.I.P.Bruce Rioja wrote:Johan Cruyff. 68.

My most favourite player of all time. What a class act, how he just glided with the ball, only Franky comes close

What a Cruyff, Hullit, Van Basten combo could do for the Whites right now....Harry Genshaw wrote:My most favourite player of all time. What a class act, how he just glided with the ball, only Franky comes close

RIP Johann Cruyff - great, great player. I often wondered how Neeskens would have been judged in a midfield without Cruyff - great player in his own right too...
Re: This weeks RIP's........
RIP Johan.
I was only teaching my 7 year old son the 'Cruyff turn' yesterday at the park.
