Ex-Everton midfielder Andy King. Remember him scoring a cracking winner in a Merseyside derby in the late 70's. RIP.

Blimey  . Remember it well. That was where the interviewer grabbed him after the match for a few words and on air they both got thrown off the pitch by some burly copper :D

I'd forgotten that bit, but you're right Harry. I recall a time when that clip was played over and over again. In fact, here it is. Blink and you miss it! Clearly a Liverpool fan!

He did indeed. Wow, 58, no age. A cracking little midfielder. RIP

bloody he'll. I played with him once while visiting a mutual mate near St. Albans. He was a signed up pro but the three of us played in a friendly, Andy using an assumed name. The mutual mate was with him recently at the funeral of his former next-door neighbour, the Spurs legend from the 1960's double-winning team ... Ron Henry. He said that Andy looked pretty unwell, but had kept his sense of humour and mischief, nonetheless.

He was one of a series of near midget midfielders who came through in the mid/late 70's.

Him, Peter Reid, Brian Flynn, a guy called Moran at Southampton.

RIP.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Real shame.

Really nice blog from Alistair Campbell on CK here: http://www.alastaircampbell.org/blog/20 ... red-enemy/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Sad to see a haggered Alistair Campbell with a defeated Simon Hughes discussing the sadly departed Charles Kennedy.

I sure hope Liz Kendall is good.

Why ? Do you think she's going to sin it ? Really ?

It's going to be Burnham as Len continues his quest to make the Party an adjunct of Unite. Some going for an avowed Communist and his Communist Unite top table.

Basically a party take over.

She has lots of support amongst the newbs.

I really hope it's not Burnham. He's demonstrably second-rate, and it's in no-one's interest to have a non-existent opposition. He's not even a proper Union man; last leadership election he was being put forward as the main Blairite candidate until the Mili-Bros turned up; now he's Len's pet.

I really don't think he'll win. The Unions only just got their man last time and the voting process is far less skewed this time. One vote each now. Someone told me Hoboh's favourite Harriet got SIX votes last time?!

Except Unite are signing members up to be party members with voting rights at a staggering rate. 156 of the current crop of Labour MP's are Unite sponsored or involved. Unite already call it 'the Unite Party'.

Ron Moody, aged 91. I've seen few people play a part in the way that he was born to play Fagin. :(
